Former Danville Register and Bee staffer Becky Blanton says she was harassed and bullied in the newsroom and ultimately fired because she complained about it.
Now the newspaper, one of Media General’s chain, is threatening her if she posts her own clips on her new website.
The company needs to get a grip. In fact, Poynter Institute guru Joe Grimm agrees.
If Media General worried as much about the journalism at its smaller papers as it does retaliating against former employees, maybe its stock wouldn’t be flirting with the single digits.
How does that stock price suit you, Mr. Bryan?
